  • Co-founded the Sydani Fellowship Program, which provides a 5-month paid-fellowship opportunity to exceptional young African graduates and early career researchers, while also providing linkage to job opportunities for the high-performing fellows (Graduated over 120 fellows since inception in 2021)


  • Co-founded the Sydani Institute for Research and Innovation (SIRI); a not-for-profit research-based organization dedicated to redefining research frontiers and generating evidence to educate and drive positive change


  • Led the development of the Ward Development Committee for Political Accountability strategy for Niger state to drive involvement of the community in the demand for good governance

Strategy Design

  • Developed the stakeholder coordination and financial management strategy as part of the 5-year (2019 – 2023) National Social Investment strategy and led the costing of the strategy for the office of the Vice President of Nigeria


  • Developed the community health insurance strategy (community health contributory scheme) for a private health insurance firm in Kaduna state


  • Led the support to the Federal Ministry of Health (FMoH), Nigeria to reform the health budget process using a mock budget approach

Health Financing and Financial Modelling

  • Developed the financial model for the transition of all $1billion GPEI-funded Polio Resources to the Government


  • Conducted an actuarial costing of the health benefit packages for the state social health insurance scheme (SSHIA) in two northern states in Nigeria using a bottom-up ingredient costing approach


  • Developed the costing template for the revised Minimum Service Package (MSP) for PHCs in Nigeria in 2018

  • Led Sydani’s support to the National Primary Healthcare Development Agency (NPHCDA) in the development and operationalization of the Routine Immunization strategic plan


  • Supported the development and review of the Nigeria Covid-19 vaccination strategy (SCALES 3.0) and led the implementation of the vaccination strategy in nine Nigeria states


  • Led the development of strategic and annual routine immunization plans for 6 states in Northern Nigeria
